Polypyrrole (PPy) with different morphologies were prepared by chemical oxidation and electrochemical deposition. The experimental results showed that specific capacitance (SC) of the PPy microspheres was better than PPy nanoparticles
and exhibited typical pseudocapacitance behavior
which can quickly proceed the reversible Faraday response in redox reaction. The reason was attributed to the order molecular chains present in the PPy microspheres
which was in favor of forming the larger conjugated system in the PPy microspheres
and showed excellent property in electrochemical energy storage.
