Silicone rubber (MVQ) and fluorine rubber (FKM) as a defense aerospace and other important areas of heat-resistant materials have been favored
but they have their own advantages and disadvantages and the both kind of rubbers are expensive. In this work
we try to prepare MVQ/FKM blends to solve the fluorine rubber intolerant low temperature and poor processing problems with a view to increasing its use temperature range. MVQ/FKM blends were prepared by mechanical blending. The mixing process
ratio
vulcanization system and curing conditions of silicone rubber/fluorine rubber were studied with the mechanical properties. The results show that the mechanical properties of the blends are the best when the blend ratio of silicone rubber/fluorine rubber is 10:90
the vulcanization system is 3
#
curing agent/dicumyl peroxide (DCP)
the first curing conditions are at 170℃ under 10MPa for 30min
and past curing conditions are at 200℃ for 6 hours.
