Porous organic polymers (POPs) are compounds completely linked by organic covalent bonds
possessing good thermal and chemical stability
high specific surface area
permanent porosity
and potential applications in gas storage
adsorption
separation
homogeneous catalysis
et cl. As extension applications of basic organic synthesis
the synthesis of POPs not only endows the compound with excellent properties by diverse and adjustable synthetic methods but also greatly promotes the development of POPs
making it a highlight after zeolite
MOFs and so on. Getting a high molecular weight and crosslinking degree of POPs is a challenge restricted by the monomers steric resistance and stringent synthesis conditions. Here
recent progress about two main methods-Suzuki and Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction
is provided a prospect of POPs synthesis development.
