Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have unique one-dimensional nanostructure and meaningful physical and chemical properties. It is doped with polymers to prepare anticorrosion paints
which could significant improve the anticorrosive performance of coatings. The recent research progress of CNTs doped with various polymers
including polyaniline (PANI)
polypyrrole (PPy)
polyurethane (PU) and epoxy resin (EP) to prepare polymer composites anticorrosive coatings are reviewed. The properties of these coatings are summarized
and the challenges and problems of preparing CNTs composites anticorrosion paints are pinpointed. In addition
its perspective applications in anticorrosive industries are forecasted.
