摘要

高密度聚乙烯（HDPE)的合成为高分子合成提供了一种全新的配位聚合机理。一般认为，Ziegler在1953年最先合成了HDPE，而历史事实是却并非如此。本文基于历史事实给出了谁最先合成了HDPE的答案，并调研了现有国内外高分子化学教科书中关于HDPE合成技术的描述，发现多数教材没有如实记录真实情况，忽略了其他人（尤其是Hogan和Banks等人）对合成HDPE的贡献。最后，讨论了科技史实在高分子化学教学中具有促进学生理解基本概念、培养创新思想和激发学习热情等作用。

Abstract

High density polyethylene (HDPE) synthesis provides a new coordination polymerization mechanism for polymer chemistry. Ziegler was regarded as the first person to synthesize HDPE in 1953

but the historical truth is that it was not. In this paper

based on the historical facts

we discussed who first synthesized HDPE and investigated synthesis technology of HDPE described in the existing polymer chemistry textbooks at home and abroad. It was found that most textbooks did not accurately record the real situation and ignored the contributions of others (especially Hogan and Banks

etc.) to synthesis of HDPE. Finally

the history of science and technology

which was discussed in polymer chemistry course

can promote students' understanding of basic concepts

cultivate innovative ideas and stimulate their learning enthusiasm.
