The dielectric elastomer will deform under the action of electric field. Strong electric field should be applied to the dielectric elastomer to obtain high deformation energy
which may lead to electric-mechanical instability. In this paper
the electric-mechanical coupling behavior of photo-thermal sensitive dielectric gel was studied. Based on the theory of thermodynamics and continuum mechanics
the electric-mechanical coupling deformation theory of photo-thermal sensitive dielectric gel was established
the effects of temperature
light intensity and pretension on the electric-mechanical coupling deformation behavior of photo-thermal sensitive dielectric gel were studied. The results show that: In the absence of pretension
the electric-mechanical instability will occur finally with the increase of electric field intensity
and the smaller the light intensity and the lower the temperature is
the higher the critical electric intension is; Pretension can improve the electric-mechanical stability of photo-thermal sensitive dielectric gel. With equal biaxial pre-stretching
the extension rate in the direction of gel thickness decreases significantly
the nominal electric field strength increases linearly with the increase of nominal electric field.
