the carbon fiber (CF) was used as a reinforcing body of composite materials due to its excellent mechanical properties in recent years. However
the CF surface lacks polar groups and appears chemical inert on the CF surface so that the interfacial adhesion between the fiber and the resin was poor. In order to improve this serious problem
it was obliged to modify the surface properties of the CF. The GO and CNT have a large specific surface areas
the surface contains a large number of polar groups. If they were introduced into the CF surface
which can effectively improve the interface problem between CF and EP. The graphene oxide(GO) and carbon nanotube (CNT)/resin (EP) composites were successfully prepared by the electrophoretic deposition technique
and all kinds of excellent interface properties were shown. In this paper
the applied present situation of CNT and GO were deposited on the CF surface by electrophoretic deposition method at home and abroad are summed up and analyzed
on the above-mentioned basis
the research trends of the modification CF by the electrophoretic deposition carbon nano-materials are discussed
then the prospects of surface modification of CF by electrophoretic deposition methods are forecasted.
