O/W type Pickering high internal emulsion was prepared by using ball milling lignin and Tween80 as composite stabilizer and cyclohexane as oil phase. The effects of volume fraction of internal phase
amount of ball milling lignin and emulsifier dosage on the size and distribution of emulsion droplets were investigated. The results showed that compared with the ball milling lignin as a single stabilizer
the composite stabilizer was easier to prepare high internal phase emulsion
and the emulsion formed was more stable. The average particle size of the high phase emulsion droplet was about 100
μ
m. When the volume fraction of internal phase increased
the emulsion fluidity increased
the emulsion droplet decreased and the average particle size decreased significantly. When the amount of ball milling lignin increased
the viscosity of emulsion increased
and the average particle size of emulsion droplet increased and the obvious deformation occurred. Increasing the dosage of Tween80 could increased the number of emulsion and decrease the average diameter of emulsion
and the average particle size of emulsion droplets decreased. By combining Tween80 with ball-milled lignin as a composite stabilizer
the stability of the high internal phase emulsion can be greatly improved
and Tween80 and ball-milled lignin have a synergistic effect.
