Using carbon nanotubes (CNTs) and acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) to produce the CNTs/ABS composite materials by melt blending method. The rheological behavior of the CNTs/ABS composite was studied by rotary rheometer and the tensile properties was studied by tensile testing machine. The suitable processing parameters can be analyzed by experimental results in order to provide reference for factories in the future. The results show that the viscosity of the composites decreases with the increase of temperature
and the shear thinning behavior is obvious. The addition of CNTs can improve the fluidity of composites. CNTs can reduce the energy storage modulus
loss modulus and complex viscosity of the composites. When the content of CNTs is 1%(wt)
all the values are the lowest
and the plasticity of the composites is the best; the tensile strength of the composite material increases with the rise of the CNTs content
and it is hardly affected by the continuous increase of the CNTs content after 3%(wt); the elongation at break varies increase at first and then decrease with the rise of the content of CNTs
