The technology of preparing lithium-ion battery separator of polypropylene via a dry uniaxially stretching process involves a lot of contents of

etc. Therefore it is very suitable for the case teaching. This paper discusses how to combine the knowledge points involved in the manufacture with the case teaching of
polymer physics
. The microstructure of the condensed phases of polypropylene in each section of manufacture and the effects of process parameter change on the structure and properties are analyzed. Furthermore
the discussion is made about the technology of biaxially stretching process and the technology of hydrophilic modification of separator of polypropylene based on the knowledge related to
polymer physics
. It is helpful for the students to master the relevant knowledge flexibly and improve their ability in engineering practice and creativeness.
