Course teaching is at the center of student training and is of fundamental significance for improving the quality of student training. This article presents our try and practical exploration on first-class course construction with the course of
Polymer Chemistry
(including experiments teaching) as an example. Through the analysis of course teaching key points and the current shortcomings
the teaching contents of this course are reconstructed into five types of problems directed by outcome-based education (OBE) teaching concept. The online and offline classroom mixed teaching model is adopted with a variety of teaching methods such as case teaching
course debate
and inverted classrooms to break the silent state of traditional classroom teaching
together with scientifically evaluating the learning effect of students through diversified ability assessment methods. The teaching quality and ability of the teaching team via organizing course team has been significantly improved
and it has formed an operation mode based on bringing the new teachers with the old ones and combining complementary advantages
task-driven
mutual assistance and sharing. In the construction of other professional courses
our "classic" try is applying for leading the "face" courses
which has played a better model for demonstrating and guiding the teaching of other courses.
