Guo-zhang MA, Wei LIU, Tao YAN, Bing-she XU. Preparation of Polymerizable Inorganic Oxide Hybrid Nanomaterials and Their Application in UV Curable Coatings[J]. Polymer Bulletin, 2011,24(3):73-78.
Polymerizable inorganic oxide hybrid nanomaterials have better dispersing properties in UV curable coatings and can photopolymerize with organic matrix of coatings to form M—O—M linkages in cured films
thereby
the mechanical properties of films are improved
such as thermal stability
hardness
resistance to abrasion and so on.For the preparation of these materials
silylation by organosilanes
grafting with chemical compounds or preparation by sol-gel technology have been commonly used and extensively studied up to now.Progress in preparation of these nanomaterials and their application in UV curable coatings are reviewed. Finally
the suggestions for research and industrial application of these materials are also discussed.
