Hydrogen bonded supramolecular polymers are composed of monomeric units brought together through hydrogen bonding interactions
which show versatile morphologies
architectures and topological structures. Hydrogen bonds in supramolecular polymers are dynamically reversible and therefore
hydrogen bonded supramolecular polymers are smart and functional polymer materials. Supramolecular polymers based on hydrogen bonding have been utilized as electro-optic devices
nonlinear optical materials and biomaterials to engineering applications. In this paper
the synthesis
structures
and applications of hydrogen bonded supramolecular polymers are introduced.
