and polystyrene(PS)microspheres prepared through dispersion polymerization as template
PS/polyphosphazene(core/shell)composite microspheres were firstly prepared at room temperature. The as-prepared composite microspheres were then etched with tetrahydrofuran to remove PS core materials
and hollow polyphosphazene microspheres were successfully obtained. The morphology and structure of the hollow microspheres were characterized by FTIR
EA
SEM and TEM.Results showed that the hollow polyphosphazene microspheres possessed highly cross-linked chemical structure. The hollow core size of the hollow microspheres was depended on the diameter of as-used PS template
and the shell thickness could be controlled by adjusting the mass ratio of PS to comonomers. In addition
the formation mechanism of the hollow polyphosphazene microspheres was proposed.
