polyethylene terephthalate (PET) is the first variety on the amount for textile and clothing fibers
and has the advantages of good creep resistance and high wear resistance. However
the flammability of PET limits its further promotion and application. Although phosphorus-based flame retardants can effectively improve the flame-retardant properties of PET
phosphorus-based flame retardants (such as ammonium carbonate
phosphates
phosphates
etc.) also have poor heat resistance
low dimensional stability
easy to seep
degradation products are easy to induce PET degradation. Therefore
in view of the shortcomings of single phosphorus flame retardants
this paper mainly reviews the modification progress of composite flame retardants with phosphorus and other flame retardant elements such as nitrogen
silicon
aluminum and boron for PET flame retardant
and provides ideas for constructing new multi-element hybrid flame retardants.
