and environmental protection has gradually become the development direction of the flame-retardant field. This review briefly summarizes the latest research progress of ionic liquids in the field of flame retardancy in recent years

focusing on the flame-retardant mechanism and progress of ionic liquids in polymer matrices

and also introduces the application of ionic liquids in cotton fabrics

lithium-ion batteries and other materials. Finally

the application prospect of ionic liquids is prospected.
